Roger Lewis I am old enough to remember the Gang of Four when they formed the Social Democratic Party, they Merged into the Lib Dems. The news is, there is already a Middle Ground Neo-Liberal Party to the Left of the Tories and the Right of the Labour 2017 Manifesto Consensus. What this is about is Technocratic EuroPhilia. It is correct to compare the Phenomenon to EN Marche which is essentially Neo-Liberal Corporate Fascism, that is in fact what Blair represented.

21st Century Social Democracy is the antidote to Authoritarian Neo-Liberal Technocracy. The EU technocracy is desperately trying to re-assert itself. It is important to realise that Chukka Ummuna and his ilk, the Blairite ideologues do not believe in Social Democracy, they believe in Representative democracy along the lines of the Schumpeterian Competing elites model.

We do not live in the Democracy we are told on the tin that we have. We still live under an Oligarchy, all be it the Financialised Oligarchy of today which differs in several Respects from Oligarchies Past and which differ culturally across different countries in the Washington Consensus.

Local Constituency Parties should apply the democratic rules available to local parties and their memberships, where MP´s are not serving the wishes of Local Parties and their memberships then De Selections will be a natural consequence, that is our labour party democracy and those are the rules.

If some Labour MP´s are not comfortable with Subsidiarity in this democratic Form then that is I am afraid their problem and to Form a new Party or Join the Lib Dems is their right and they may say their Prerogative.

Building 21st Century Democratic Institutions on Participative democratic Lines will offend some old fashioned Authoritarian Deterministic Patriarchal types. In a more Matri Focal De-centralised and localised Version of democracy Communities thrive and fairness and equality are much more achievable. At this point economically we should all be brushing up on our Pigou-Dalton Principle and reading the Spirit Level by Wilson and Pickett quite closely. We must also be well versed in the Magic Money Tree and the importance of Money Creation being restored to the Commons, The Gnomes of Zurich sought to frustrate and along with the Deep State managed to Frustrate Harold Wilsons Labour Party vision, the same forces will defend the Magic Money Tree for their own account and The Labour 2017 consensus must be well prepared to deal with those brickbats, for swing they will.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) was a centrist political party in the United Kingdom.^[4]

The SDP was founded on 26 March 1981 by four senior Labour Party moderates, dubbed the “Gang of Four”:^[5] Roy Jenkins, David Owen, Bill Rodgers and Shirley Williams, who issued the Limehouse Declaration.^[6] Owen and Rodgers were sitting Labour Members of Parliament (MPs); Jenkins had left Parliament in 1977 to serve as President of the European Commission, while Williams had lost her seat in the 1979 general election. The four left the Labour Party as a result of the January 1981 Wembley conference which committed the party to unilateral nuclear disarmament and withdrawal from the European Economic Community. They also believed that Labour had become too left-wing, and had been infiltrated at constituency party level by Trotskyist factions whose views and behaviour they considered to be at odds with the Parliamentary Labour Party and Labour voters.^{[citation needed]}

For the 1983 and 1987 General Elections, the SDP formed a political and electoral alliance with the Liberal Party, the SDP–Liberal Alliance. The party merged with the Liberal Party in 1988 to form the Social and Liberal Democrats, now the Liberal Democrats,^[7] although a minority left to form a continuing SDP led by David Owen.
